The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed about the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to here access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area each day. The services position made for intervention activities a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit sassa status a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to empower the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
